Lawrence Peabody's designs are exclusively manufactured by us.

For the first time since 1962, Lawrence Peabody’s famous wood frame cradle chair is back and re-entering the market. This chair won the AID honor award with the following remarks:

…A brilliant meeting of materials combining the beauty of natural walnut, the texture of an imported Hong Kong rattan sling and the excitement of colorful contemporary fabric. Its lightweight facile design adapts to both formal and casual use and has been cited as a chair that “reconciles foreign craftsmanship with American design and production know-how.”

Today each chair is expertly handcrafted by artisans in America, including the handwoven seat. The teak used is harvested ethically and hand picked for each project.
